Yes, I do have zebra loaches, I got them to control the snails which they do very well. However as there are no more snails for them to munch and all the new leaves of my echinodorus have been perforated, I might move the loaches on as they are extremely active and I think 180l might be cramping them also I value my plants not more but as much as my fishes (especially my echinodorus osiris) 3 zebra loaches anyone? Free to good home.I'd say it was your zebra loaches making those holes. Once they get a taste to a plant there's nothing you can do except to remove that plant and any others they've taken a fancy to. Loaches are funny things, sometimes they couldn't care a less about the plants and other times they'll ruin a whole planted tank in a matter of a couple of days.

Thanks, Karl, for your loach info, I meant to include you in my reply...Lmao reminds me of when I had my Clown Loaches they did exactly the same to all of my plants including swords and java fern which fish supposedly dont like the taste off. They use to go around the tank all day and just punch holes in all the leaves so I got rid of them and my tank is back to normal.Have you got any loaches?? If so keep an eye on them once they get a taste for plants they wont stop
They defiantly look like loach bites to me without a doubt 100% sure of it..
