Thank you everyone for help last night. i done a 50% water change and the fish seemed more relaxed and swimming around. i went to bed and woke up this morning and all fish died. i am absolutely gutted and its made me question if im good enough to have fish. i thought i did enough research i was just confused by the different things everyone was saying.

just cleaning the tank out now and going to clean the whole thing.

Sorry for your loss.  This happens frequently with new set-ups.  And, unfortunately, many people feel exactly like you do.  The truth is that you are plenty good enough for fish.  You just need to research a bit more, and rely on the proper science, rather than what you are hearing from your LFS.

Shaun, I would stick with this forum for advice and especially those with a long experience of fish-keeping. A lot of fish-shops will tell you anything just to sell stuff. It's just a case of getting set up right in the first place, with a properly-cycled tank. Once you've got that running correctly, you're all set to go....gotta hold off getting those lovely fish until it's ready!
