Interesting. The infection in my tank was also brought in on a sterbai Cory but eventually spread to one of my paleatus as well (but only to one of the six in the tank). After a long period of trial and error I finally got rid of it with Paraguard, which incidentally covers both costia and gyrodactylus. I do use API Stresscoat as a water conditioner, and it contains aloe, but I’m still using it and none of my sterbais have had any issues since using the Paraguard.
