not 2 male bettas. I would seriously make that tank a little more ggressive. African Butterfly fish are top dwellers. Add a small Pleco and a few other choice fish and u got yurself an awesome tank
like what?
I got black gravel and it was 12$ for every 20 pounds and Driftwood prices really depnd on teh size. Most pieces run 5-10 $ around here
I think this would work

1- ABF - these guys are really surface dwellers They can even take sinking foods. It all has to float.
1- Bristlenos or Rubber Pleco
1- Dwarf Gourami
2- German Blue rams. Nicer than any betta IMO ( except for Plakats  )

i was wondering the price for naural colored gravel and drift wood
ANY PICS
Sand is free if you live near a beach. Just be sure to clean it well though.
Natural coloured gravel would be about the same as you paid for the coloured I'd expect. Aquatic sand would be even cheaper.
(I'm plugging sand, did you guess yet?)

Hey, I happen to love my bettas.
Even though they're fish store buys, they're still as great as any other fish, IMO.

thats a good price driift wood is a lot more expinsive in New York, USA

ABF is African Butterfly fish. I am in NY too. all th epieces i have are small though.

There are a few pictures in the Fish index under Oddballs. Its worht a look

Community tank + small size I'd instantly think of buying a calm breed of Tetra and having a group to keep violence between only them. Others would argue though that they are nippy.
Given the small size fast fish can't use their abiltys to escape slower violent fish so be careful of Betta and Gourami, shouldn't be too much hassel though.
If you want your tank to really shine remember less is more, if you make it too "busy" it could look chaotic.

All those species can be kept in a pretty general tank and dont need speciel stuff. Just gravel and plans and i think the tetras would appreciate somewhere to hide

Could I add Jelly bean Parrots to that?????????
no. They get way too big ( like 7-8") and are way too aggressive they would claim that whole tank in a heartbeat

At my lfs natural colored gravel is a lot cheaper then colored, I would say around half the price.
