Something A Bit Different I Think..

OMG would someone please take this book off me.. you have to google this its beautiful!!

steatocranus casuatius

A dither fish is a fish that won't bother the apistos but is not afraid to swim around in the open. They are a very useful fish to have when you have a shy fish. The shy fish will see the other swimming around and think it must be all right to come out of hiding. Without a dither, you will never see a kribensis out in the open, I'm not sure but apistogrammas may be the same way. For a krib I just put a platy or two in the tank with them.

Cockatoos would be good, plenty of room for a few of those, you just need some larger size tetras to act as dithers.

How about a Lamprologus lelupi species tank? much better than labs IMO
These would do great in a tank with loads of rockwork.

you may also get away with keeping them with steatocranus casuarius but this would depend on the specific fish

how about Erythrinus Erythrinus max out at about 6" not all that active but sure is aggressive you will have fun at feeding time.

cheers davo, they are a lot like labs ( well for me having never actually stood and studied them) are these readily availible?

Mark he is stunning!! hes everything i love in a tank, sort of oscar and plec in one

fisheries: of no interest; aquarium: commercial; price reliability: not marketed/unknown
what does this mean??
and again as the tank is very tall, and hes a bottom dweller is this ok?
EDIT** ah right hes a bottom and top dweller...

He will mainly sit on the bottom occasionally swimming around. Then at feeding time you will see it strike. But be aware you will be feeding things like, prawn, mussel, whitebait etc all easily bought cheaply in tesco.
