Been a few weeks so thought I'd better add some pics
First off is my 240L Fluval Roma 240
Not too much changed here but last sunday I decided to have myself a bit of a rescape, so jiggled the layout of plants around then swapped positions of my ship wreck and pebbles and I was left with this....
Which I am really pleased with =D
Then we have Crab island (tm ) which is actually a terapin island that I bought then made a rope out of hessian for Mr Crab to climb up on to it, he sussed it out fairly quickly, pictured here with one of his mates, a shrimp!
Generally mincing
His buddies, which I was sold as Yamato shrimp (can anyone confirm?)
When buying said "Yamato" shrimp I asked for 5 but when I got home there were 3 "Yamato's" and 2 of these...
When I went back to question them I was told they were "Clawed shrimp" can any one confirm?
The only other new addtion is my Sailfin plec, can remember his science name Pter C...... Anyone?
Meanwhile, in the 24L, there was a masacre in the Krib tank, Mr and Mrs Krib, after one month decided that their fry were making the place to crowded and consequantly ate all of them bar 5, I bought myself a breeding net for the 240L and transfered the survivors over, 1 of them died, leaving 4 ....
And before anyone says anything, I know there are 5 pictured here, pics were taken before the death, R.I.P little Krib survivor and all of your brothers and sisters
Also looks like my Kribs are going to breed again
Had a little mess around with their tank arrangement before they really got going with their breeding ritual, made them a couple of little caves of of plastic and ceramic plant pots submerged in the substrate...
The breeding actually takes place inside of a sort of a fake rock formation ornament, there's a small hole in the bottom and Mrs Krib has made access to it, she goes inside to lay her eggs and Mr Krib keeps guard at the entrance
Mr Krib mincing inside a little cave I made...
Mrs Krib sitting just in front of here breeding ground
Mr Krib up close (Isn't he a fantastic specimen? )
Mrs Krib up close
and that's all this month, next in line are a shole of some smaller fish, some Rummynose tetras I think
Enjoy, comments and criticisms welcome
