I must say that i agree with bunjiweb on the captive hybrid statement. I think its dangerous and we should not be playing god with creatures that we cannot tell how they will develope as time goes by. Look at the Caulerpa strain that found its way back into the ocean after being "developed" by scientists. Now its killing everything in the med sea and has no natural predators
The same can be said for hybrid species in a marine system.. Should one of these fish get back into the ocean it could do alot of damage out there. Whilst we do get hybrid species in the ocean that naturally occur, i feel its best left to change and the whim of mother nature.
