I was going to post these pics in the 180/75 thread I made in this forum but decided to put them up as a new thread.
I have four large plecos--I had five until recently (a chocolate albino liposarcus).
All four reside in a 180 gallon tank. I have some other small plecos in different tanks but the four big ones are my joy--there's nothing like feeding them then turning off the lights to watch!
Now the pics:
This is a pic of my Liposarcus pardalis (13") and Glyptoperichthys scrophus (rhino pleco)(8"). The Liposarcus is my princess, she's 15 years old. Her name is Pizza (I was 11 when I named her!). She shows her age in her appearance but she is just as active and healthy as the other plecos.
This is my albino G. gibbiceps (8"). He was an Xmas present from my fiance in '03. He is stunning in every way and I look forward to seeing him when he's full-grown. The top pic is of him in the 180, the bottom pic is an older one.
And last but not least, my full-grown G. gibbiceps (17"). I named this guy Tony and he fits his name well--he can be a bully and when he swims around the tank, the other fish better watch out--he's like a tank! He was 2" when I got him in early '00. He's an eating and pooping machine but I love him. His girth is larger than that of a 6 month old kitten!
In both of these pics, he's in my 75 gallon. In the top pic, you can see my chocolate albino liposarcus next to him. The liposarcus was 11". When we first moved to the new place last fall I decided to put Tony in the 75 for a couple weeks to let the other plecos get established in the 180 first. Otherwise Tony would just bully the heck out of all of them.
