Some Pics I Took

why do you have news paper around that one tank :/
It is a secret project from her and she didn't want to tell! From my instinct judgement, I can tell you what is inside. :p Betta Macrostoma from Brunei Darusalam!!! :p This is how they breed!!!!!

man you got alot of tanks, cool pics!! have to ask though as i know nothing about bettas, why is that tank wrapped in news paper? to make it dark for breeding or somthing?

PS: i like how you have a tv on top of the tanks, i take it you spend alot of time in there :p

Thanks everyone for looking and your comments. Yes, alot of time in there and I can't miss the Mavericks when they play, or CSI. These are the only things I watch besides movies. Every day I'm in there atleast 2 or more hours, even when I get home from work. No days off.

The newspaper is around the tank for a breeding pair. Actually, when I took that picture, the pair had already spawned and the female was out, but I leave the newspaper up until I remove the male. Some of them seem sensitive to movement and get scared and some males eat the eggs because they feel they are threatened. Some of my fish are also such people lovers all they want to do is find out what mommie is doing and watch me and don't think about what they are supposed to be doing. Better safe than sorry now, and I think they get it done faster this way with no interuptions.

The first fries pictures are of a black lace/copper pairing, and they look like they will be blue or green mettallic, possibly black laced with blue or green. I have 1 baby from my blue marble bf spawn in there too. The tank with the paper has baby super red plakats. :D I just can't wait. The smaller fry pics are of Superman's babies, a Red/Lavendar bf dt to a cambo red/lavendar ST female. They are looking pinky/purple mettalic and the eyes all look lavendar so far. So cool.

A male from blk/copper spawn.

Thanks so much BettaMomma. I am a proud mother, and these are from my 2nd successful spawn. I wanted to add one more crappy pic of a brother that is a different coloring. A platinum/gold/red that shimmers pinkish.

Wou. Finally can see the babies turning into adults. They are getting real good. The males will have more rays later too when look at the tail. :)
How long the babies when you start jaring them? Jar them early like less than 1" long if you know it might be a male or 1 and 1/2 month old to 2. :) If potential one, they will start to show off and flaring with one of each other. This is how to train them to be halfmoon or over. Makesure not over flaring for them too. This will make them lazy to flaring in the future. :) Use a white paper to dividing them. I still can't get the exactly schedule for them to flare and rest like how many hours. Still under my experiment. Think about it if you want to be muscular, you need to train consistency everyday but not over do it too. Same as halfmoon too. Start early is better to make them more flexibility for their fins and tail. :kana: :flex: :p
