This beautiful dog, dumped by its callous owner......makes my blood boil to see things like this.

There are so many alternatives if you no longer want your pet....absolutely no need to do this to any animal...

Disgusting! I tried capturing some of the images to enlarge and sharpen to see if I could even get a part of a license number but the road camera is just too low as to resolution. I can't get anything. Shoot, if I could have gotten a license number the cops have better software and would already have done so.

There is another issue out there. When I lived in Florida there was a 'person'... and I use the word person loosely... that actually managed to turn a yellow lab vicious. This was a few blocks up the road from me. I called animal control as I felt that for this to happen the dog must have been seriously mistreated. As the dog's living conditions were actually clean and the dog was healthy they could do nothing but agreed that the dog was being drastically mistreated but there was just no way to prove.

Once again I'll say that having an animal is not a right but a privilege and responsibility. It SO saddens me when these things happen and these things are, unfortunately, much too common. :(

That poor pup! I cannot imagine the mind and "heart" of someone who would even consider dumping an animal that way. It's beyond my capacity to understand. So cold and evil, what do they think is going to happen to the dog? That it's going to live in the woods, alone and feral? Or just doesn't care if that poor pup had been hit by a car?
Seeing the video of him dumping the dog was heartbreaking, but seeing the dog with the rescuers - hats off to the lady who screamed at him to stop, saved the Shepherd, and took his outgrown collar off!! Those people who were there and looked after him, and the officials that collected him, were so gentle and kind.

Such a sweet natured pup as well! I'd estimate about a year old, so still a pup really. But he was so sweet and happy to receive praise and affection, even though he was confused and a bit nervous. He'll make a beautiful pet for the right person! Please let us know if you see any follow up news on the story.

He would have had no trouble finding a good home for him. Beautiful healthy sweet natured Shepherd? Someone would have wanted him. Or take him to a shelter! I've never had to do that, thankfully, but why won't they take an unwanted animal to a shelter? Is there a fee or something they don't want to pay?
