Some Old Pictures!

Hey,

I found some old pictures so thought id post them on here! They're REALLY bad quality because they were taken with useless old "ordinary" camera

Anyway, this one is of my very first bird! A kaikariki called Kai (original name i know.... lol). He died when id only had him for about 4 months.. He was old.. He was so sweet though!

And this is a not so old picture of my chinchillas that i had to give away cos i was too busy at Uni - they needs lots of attention! They were called Willow and Jasmin... Strange names again... lol Please excuse my brother in this picture, i was going to cut him out of it but thought id really embarrass him and put him on here instead!! Oh, and thats Molly as an ickle baby!!!

I have three chinchila's I love them very much But as for a pet you have to work with them everyday to be able to even hold mine. As you know animals differ as for me when they are gone no more for me. THey are really cute Jess

Chinchillas make great pets as long as they're tame. I got mine when they were babies and they were very, very tame then and as i handled them for at least 2 hours everyday they stayed just as cuddly
The only problem is the amount of time they need. Its easier with my birds as i can just put them on my shoulder and carry on with everything as normal and they're quite happy!! Chinchillas can be very messy, and i have cats as well, so i had to keep them mostly in one area when they were out of their cage (i used to let mine out to run around for a few hours each day). Obviously, you have to keep and eye on them while they're out as well as they are very good at getting themselves into trouble, and they can chew through anything!!!
I've kept in touch with the people i gave my Chinchillas to. They had some babies a while ago which i went to see and they were the cutest little things!!! I had to stop myself from bringing some home!lol

They definately make great, but very time consuming pets!

Thank you Sasha! Kai was a little Angel! He wasn't hand reared or anything but he'd sit on me and stuff... He was adorable.. And the chinchillas were just SO cute!!!!
