Some Of My Guppies

yeps thats a male indeedy, tho he has lost the yellow/gold colour on his tail and turn it red. will get some updated pics of some of the fry but mostly all are male i think there are only 2 females out of that batch. some look like double swordtails. i think thats what they would be called but like i say ill grab some more pics and show u all.

P.S
Blue limia fry are slow growers aint they. Guppys defo win in the growing race

I must admit i've never had amny limia's my self but yes generaly they are a lot slower then guppies

ok here are 2 pics the 1st one is the only black/red male in the whole buntch, all the other males look just like the 2nd fry.

The second fish looks more like a wilt guppy, which generally have a smaller body shape and tail than cultivated one's, do u have any wild types?

Red dose devlope later then yellow that's why the colour had gone red

ahh thats why he went red then lol, nope dont own a wild type. tho the female who had these i think could have been a cross female from endlers as she doesnt have hardly any colour just a couple speks of black, back on the 1st page of this post is her pic

she could be an endler or wild guppy heratage which would explain the wild looking guppy fry you are getting, still their lovely fish.

quick question, once they fry start sexing out like they have and i take males away from females, could the female then change to a male? seeing as there are no other males about one would take its place? or will they just stay female virgins?

No females will ever sex change, you do get late developers, but removing other males encourages them to devlope faster.

thats brill thanks for that, i think ive got a compatible female for the black red male which is a good start tho no female are looking like the wilt guppy look a likes.

just thought ild say if anyone would like a couple males in the wilt guppy look alikes they are 50p each ill be selling them in a few weeks time

love the pics great fish and good way of selection breeding by keeping the males and the females seperate what ones do you think you are going to breed now then :fish: :kewlpics:
