Beautiful Fish!! and very nice tank!! Love the way the platty is checking out his larger tank mate (yeah, i'm sure i can take him! oops perhaps not)then runs away when he spots two!! What size tank is it? and have you thought of putting on a background? I think it would look much better. :good:

Nice tank. :) I agree with loach - a black or blue background would make it look even better. :good:

I'm guessing you don't know.. but bala sharks grow to be over a foot long, and should be in groups of 4 or more.. it wont live very long in a 29g tank :/

yeah i know i need a background...and i did hear that before about bala sharks. The only issue i guess is needing a bigger tank. Although he has been alive for quite some time. I got him when he was very very small and he still is small (but has grown obviously). I plan on getting a bigger tank in the future.

Yeah you definitly have to get it in a bigger tank soon. Although the fish has been alive for a while it doesn't mean it's healthy or happy. But the tank looks great! I'm jeolous

I think most people say an 8 foot tank is needed for a school of bala sharks.. in smaller tanks they get stunted and die young. When I was younger I used to put them in my 20g and wonder why they'd always die within a year... now I know!
