Hi all

I got home from work last night to find some cory eggs stuck to the tank glass behind the filter.

There is not many, i can only see about 6-8 but that doesnt matter, it is their first spawn.

I was going to leave them there cause there is only corys in the tank.

How can i tell if they are viable?

Another question is...how long (presumming they have been fertilised) do they take to hatch?

Ive just had some bristlenose hatch but never had corys before.

cheers :#

hi cmfoggy
if they are viable they should change to a baige coulor with a black dot in the middle

it is best to move them to a container or another tank with good water flow or airiation
depending what corys youve got they shoud hattch in 3-5 days :good:

Drewry, is it still necessary to move them if there are only Corydoras in the tank (assuming the water flow, etc. is good)?

Thanks.

yeah other wise 'Cory_Dad' there is a good chance if any hatch the pairents will eat them by accident wilest looking for food :good:

Thank you drewry

Well this morning i noticed that one of the peppered corys was laying more eggs, so now there is about a total of 20.

Would a breeders net do just as well as putting them in another tank as i dont really have one.

thank you

cheers

yeah i think jollysue has good results from puting eggs in breeding nets iv never tryed it that way.
i just put mine in a round plastic container about 3inch x3inch floating in the tank with an airstone dangling into it and it works well for me .
good look with the eggs cmfoggy :good:
