Hi, all. This weekend, I picked up some cool soapstone oil burners at Wal-mart that I thought would make great decorations for my tank. Before I put them in, though, it occured to me that soapstone might leech something unhealthy into my tank. Does anyone know if it would? Should I not even try? Thanks.

soapstone is a soft metamorphic rock composed mostly of the
mineral talc. Also called steatite.
due to the talc part it will drastically alter the pH, gH and kH of your water.
not recomended for aquariums.

That's what I was afraid of. Guess I'll have to find something else for my betta guys to hide in.
