Thanks but I think I will just get some plants while already buying from Aquarium Co Op. It does look amazing though so I might want some down the road. I think that I have decided I want to do dwarf saggitaria and Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus. I think they both look great and seem easy to grow.

I am probably going to order them tonight so there probably won't be enough time for advice on them. I think I should be able to figure it out, especially with ferts.

Anybody have advice on growing these 2?

Also I just realized that ACC makes absolutely no sense for Aquarium Co Op. For some reason my brain thought it did....

your local petsmart/petco/walmart might even sell hornwort, its supposedly stupidly easy to grow. My local petsmart has a tank full of hornwort and bladder snails, so if yours is like mine be prepared to do a bleach dip or several on that before adding it to your tank!

Just got my order! What do you guys think? I did what Cory from Aquarium co op suggested and left the sag in the pot. I will remove the pot when it has spread. moved the hair grass mainly to the front right, and I am hoping to get the sag to fill in the front left. The Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus will fill in the back sides with the sword in the middle. I put root tabs and dosed the liquid, I have a good light, and they are all fairly easy to grow plants so I don't see any reason why they shouldn't thrive now. I will update in a few days.

looks good! seems like your dwarf hairgrass is starting to get established nicely as well. I remember you posting about that a while back.

Yeah I have yet to really see it growing but I will give it some time. The frogbit is doing much better now lol. I think the octopus is starting to grow, and the dwarf saggitaria is kinda sitting there right now.

Definitely seeing growth on the plants! At least on every plant except the hairgrass... it is still floating up and not really growing. I might just take it out.

These pictures were taken 5 days ago and today, so you can see the growth. Algae problems are minimal now except for the dark algae on the sword. Its not getting worse but its not going away. I think the reason only the tips of the leaves have the algae is because the Amanos have eaten the rest of it. I want malaysian trumpets anyway so would they eat that of as well?

The fish are loving swimming around in all the plants and they have made the tank look so much better! I can't wait until they REALLY grow in.

Also some of the frogbit leaves seem to hang down in the water and then they rot away. Most of the leaves are fine and floating above the surface but some just seem to grow in the water. Why is this happening and is it fixable?

They like still water, no agitation. Are there bubbles or flow from the filter nearby?

No they are in the plant ring and they are never in the filter.
