So it turns out... male guppies are quite boring.

I've had guppies for about a year and have had the males and females separated for several months now. I quite love my females, they are quite busy and so friendly... but my males... go around and around doing the same thing all the time only stopping to eat or see if they are about to get feed...

Part of me wants to re-home the boys and fill my tank with something else... but also... all but 1 of them are my very own home reared babies... and I just can't imagine anyone loving them the way I do... even if they are boring.

So you suppose putting in a couple of something else would break-up their obsessive behavior a bit? Or would they just try and mate with anything I put in? Their tank is a 60 litre and there are 8 of them in there.

Reading the first sentence made me giggle haha ^_^

Something tells me that if you put in another type of fish, they'll just try to mate with 'em :p Mine always try to mate with each other, as well as my platies. But it could make it less boring! XD

My males are pretty entertaining, they always play with my air stone, hehe :3

Mine do nothing NOTHING other than swim in circles around the tank showing off with each other....

When they were mixed they did get distracted and do other things too... now... they just don't!

If you want some real action, put the females with the males, then you will have some young ones that may be they will be more entertaining.

My females are still having babies from months ago when they were with the boys! I do like babies... wish they wouldn't grow up!
