one of my bamboo shrimp fell victim to a rather unusually vicious group of neon tetras (who I rehomed) and had his fans bit off. For those with no experience with bamboo shrimp, theyre filter feeders, using their fans to catch food and feeding themselves with them.

This was after the attack

For 2 molts now he had NO fans and was pitifully biting at my sponge filter trying to eat. I was worried he was going to starve but he was still pooping so he was obviously getting something to eat. First molt after the attack didn't bring back his fans, but he molted 2 days ago and finally came out of hiding and surprise! He is out with his other bamboo buddy with fans again!!

I love my bamboo shrimp a lot, so I was really sad thinking this guy was suffering and not going to make it, but he regrew his fans and now he's back in good shape!

Aaaww I'm so happy for you, and for him! What a tough little dude. I know you were so worried about him. Lovely to see him whole again and with plenty of food!
