They like to watch me when I'm sitting at my desk, so I got some pictures. Some are a little blurry, but you get the basic idea.

I'm not sure... most of the time they just look black, but in certain lights they really look red... not just in pictures, so I'm really not sure.

See, if he has red pupils he might be albino... I would give my soul for an albino betta (and a lot of lesser things, but that's neither here nor there). Someone on another forum bought a female who just so happened to be albino, and when I heard she didn't plan to breed it I nearly flipped out

Well, if he is albino, he's not PURE albino. His body has absolutely NO pigment... he's literally see-through. However, he does have a bit of translucent white on his fins. They are mostly clear, and the white is translucent, but there is white there, nonetheless.

Probably... I got him at PetCo. He's the only fish I've gotten that wasn't sick when I bought him. One of them (Koenig) was my fault, though... I got him without thinking about having to walk back to the dorm in the dead of winter... he got hypothermia on the way home, but I was lucky and brought him back. When I got him to my room, I thought he was dead. But, then I saw his gills move. He was still breathing, but REALLY slowly, and he was on his side and not moving at all. I just got a bowl of warm water and treated it quickly and then poured some of the water out of his cup and some warm water in, therefore warming him up slowly and gradually... he came around after about 30 minutes. I got lucky... he's a strong boy. The only problem I've ever had with him is tail biting, but now that he's gotten in the big tank and I found an arrangement of plants and cave that he likes, he has stopped that and his tail has grown back.

Sakana (PetCo rescue) had fin rot and was so tiny... he's still tiny... his body is only about 1 inch. He's always sick, but he's a cute little runt.

Angel (Wal-Mart rescue) had really bad finrot... one of his ventrals was all curled up and stuck to itself right next to his body. I took him in and got all the finrot taken care of, but his ventral never did uncurl, and just a couple of weeks ago, it fell off. He only has a little stub of it. I don't know what was wrong with it or why it fell off, but he's still as happy and healthy as ever.

And now I'm getting a new one from AquaBid. I can't wait!

It just goes to show that you can get some really awesome fish from the crappiest of places if you can ever get them healthy
A lot of my fish are from Walmart, of all places... Abrid, Arbatel, Librabis, Loki, Mikhael, Serafino, Uriel, Valoel, and Vassago are all Walmart fish. Yura is from a Petsmart about 4 hours from where I live, and Raziel is from a LFS
