Snow In My Tank

Oh! so wonderfull... I watched the tank and it turned all murky for two day, & then it turned as crystal clear as ..... well..... Crystal.... Tonight I braved another (scew) guppy fry in there and he was happy (as a fish in water)... I have now removed him and put a prize specimenn in the tank with 3 females... I've never seen my Guppies happier... Aircon (dripoff) water can work!

I can't see snow being a whole lot different from rain water. One thing I might be concerned with using the water from an AC unit would be any metal contamination from the evaporator. These contain a considerable amount of copper & aluminum, they are prized by the junkers around here who do recycling.

I will obviously keep an eye on the tank to ensure my Guppies remain happy and no-one steals my water/copper or aluminium.... (in SA, any of those are possible).

A good dechlorinater will neutralize any heavy metals if that's an issue.

That's one of the things I like about keeping fish you never know if its going to work until you try nice one Ludwig :good:

You do not understand Tolak!!!... here in SA, they steal the metals from my water.... No need for dechlorinators or that type of things!
