i live in a lovely place and as you can tell im surronded by river and sea. but also a lot of history. i dont always appreciate it but it is really beautifal! :D

the pic at the top is an old hospital that was used during ww1 it took up the whole park until they knocked it down.

the hospital is where florence nightingale used in the boer war

nice pics - number 9 is the best one for me - dramatic sky and really good contrast - might look nice black and white?

No 7 is a pretty good composure too, but possibly a bit too much concrete!

The last one could be more involving/dramatic if you got the point of view even lower - with the camera nearer the ground looking up a bit towards the church. Would lend itself to taking the picture in portrait mode too - emphasises the height more.

To turn your pics round 90 degrees all you need to do is right click, the 'rotate' when you look at them in whatever folder you keep them in.

Lastly, have a look at the 'rule of thirds' if you're not familiar with it you'll find loads if you search on google - check this link for a start
