I had a snail come in with some live plants i got from petsmart. Now i keep seeing them on the glass and plants. I remove the ones i see but they keep popping up. I currently have guppies and corys in that tank. Is there anything i can do beside just picking them out by hand? Are there any non-agressive community fish that will eat snails? :dunno:

Some people have luck getting rid of them by putting in a piece of lettuce in over night. The snails will go to it, and in the morning, there should be some snails on it. Keep doing this every night until they are gone.

I'm not sure how tolerant Cories are of copper, but copper is highly toxic to snails and will definitely kill them off. Unfortunately this still means picking out snails or else suffering a major crash from ammonia sky rocketing.

The best way so far I've heard is using the lettuce trick detailed above.

Yoyo Loaches are non aggressive and will eat snails. They do grow to 5 inches (according to lfs). They are happiest in a group but I only had room for two and they are fine. In fact they almost ignore each other! They are eating the snails but I still have way too many. I squash the ones I can reach when I feed the fish. :)

Yo-Yo's take a little while to bond. I've got 6 in a 54 that still haven't grouped up. But I've got a group in another tank that have been together for about a year that are basically on top of each other.
