Hi,
I have a small tank (29l) (Se attached) its got sand substrate and live plants. It also houses 3 Cory's
The problem is I'm rearing Platy fry (20 or so) about 2 week old and iv'e noticed small snails in it -
Now I cant put any loach'es in it for obvious reasons -

Any advice any one ? :S

Rather than killing off the snails your better off finding out where they are coming from.
Have you added any new plants to the tank? Sometimes they can come into your tank on them. The other reason could be that your over-feeding, this will cause an explosion of snails in your tank and if it is this reason then they're your best friend at the minute as they are eating the left over food that would otherwise rot and affect your water quality.

Micko's hit it on the head there but,

Corys will eat snails, they just cant get them out of the shells. Bit difficult when your mouth is small, faces downwards, and has barbles around it!

If you squash them before lights out and let them fall to the bottom of the tank, they'll be gone by morning. With your sand substrate, should be very easy to vac out the shells.

Ben
