Ive seen soem really nice "tropical freshwater snails". Are there any nice, brightly coloured, interesting, nice shaped ones that could go in a community tank that I'm planning to set up?

Thanks

Without knowing what fish you have in your tank hard to say if the snails would be fine... in my community tropical tank a snail would last about 2 minutes before one of the clown loaches would find it and have a nice meal.

Some fish view a snail the same way we view a boiled egg - something nice to eat with an annoying shell ;)

Thanks. I intend to have quite a peaceful community so hopefully can find something to go in there. I have been thinking about some other wierd and wonderful things to go in my tank so if all fails with the snails then I'm sure I'll still be a happy bunny :)

I've got a couple of apple snails which are producing hundreds of young. Can anyone suggest any fish that would be eager to eat the young snails but leave the adults (and the rest of my peaceful fish) alone?

we have snails that appear to have been snail eggs on the plants we bought! what can we do to get rid of these they seem to reproduce so bloody fast!!

Clown loaches will eat the baby snails. I have some apple snail and I love them. I also have black apple snails. My favourite are the black apple snails.

I thought the zebra ones looked quite good with the zig zaggy pattern :)
