I have just done a snail clean up in my tank because not only have pond snails appeared but also eggs, lots of eggs! I removed all the Common Pond Snails and eggs I could find (although I guarantee more will appear shortly) because I can see them becoming a major menace.

I also have at least one (I believe there are may well be two though) Malaysian Trumpet Snail - I have been informed that is what they are anyway. I was just wondering whether these will become a menace as well? Should I remove them too or let them stay, I am happy for them to stay as it is another feature to my habitat however if they are going to reproduce like crazy that might not be good.

Thanks.

MTS are nocturnal, so you probably wont see them too often in the daytime. They breed quite prolifically, but not as fast as pond snails.
