Ok...
having had clowns in the office tank 3 times now to try and get rid of the snails (last time was for 6 weeks). I'm just wondering what sort of temp snails can withstand?

If i was to move the fish for a while and turn the temp up will i be able to kill the snails?

I'm not proud but we've even tried 'snail away' with no sucess...

Eggs are more fragile and easier to dispose of. If you kept the water temp around 85 for 3-4 days you shouldn't have any snails left at all unless they can dig into deep enough substrate that won't heat up. Do you have gravel, sand or something else? If it's sand they might be able to last it out in there but not so likely with gravel. If it's over 2" deep then it's more likely. Less than 1.5" they most likely won't make it.

1.5" gravel...

I'll tell the fish to start packing :)

Oh what about the only live plants in there anubis nana?

I'm not so sure on plants. I think they'll be fine for a few days but you might want to ask the plant experts on that.
