Snails from the very pit of hell!!!

CAnt you just pick out the snails by hand because they are large snails and show up easy against your substrate. Wouldn' t that be easier?

yeah it would be easier if i didnt have a full time job and if there wasnt eggs everywhere and if there wasnt baby snails in there the size of a tiny rock.

I don't really know what to do with the snails once they're grown, but I have a ramshorn infestation in my female betta tank and the bettas eat the eggs and keep the population down... I guess you could use some sort of algae remover in there. Like someone else said, a lot of those will kill snails. :dunno:

I cant, I have fry in there. The dad has not released the eggs yet and i am not going to disturb it.
I am just gonna have to deal with them basta*ds for awhile :grr:

That tank would be clown loach heavan  how long will it be before the fry grow up and you can move the,?

One word: Salt

I had a massive snail problem also. Add salt slowly to the tank a bit at a time. within a week it should kill all the snails and the eggs and then do a 50% water change and a vaccum and your done.

That IS crazy! :S :alien: I thought MY infestation was bad too.......until I saw your problem  :X :*) Sorry, I know your pain!
I treated my 55 gallon with Coppersafe (a copper test kit is a MUST to make sure you don't put too much in) and it killed every last snail in the tank after a couple of weeks. I had hundreds in there too, but not one of them has survived!!!!!! HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!

:grr: :grr: :grr: :hyper: :hyper: :D :D

I don't think using Coppersafe with babies would be a good idea.....but once they are out. Coppersafe is DEFINITLEY the way to kill snails..........and other small invertebrates like Ghost shrimp and things  :dunno:
