Recently I had a major case of ich in my aquarium and treatments didnt work. I actually lost my fish to ich, strangly my zebra snail survived.

Anyhoo, I restarted my aquarium and put my zebra snail in separate small tank while I did the fishless cycle.
Cycle has been complete for awhile now and fish have been added but I worried about that snail.

Question: Can snail carry the ich parasite and not be affected by it?

I dont want to throw him back in my tank and find out he had a little ich bugger attached to him.

Also Ive seen these post about like white circle in aquariums.
After a couple weeks I found 4 of them about 1 inch apart from eachother stuck to the sealant in the corner of my aquarium. They are very strange, hard white balls, seem to almost have a shell casing when scrap off then have to scrap of the outside layer.
Fish are unaffected, but dont know what the hell they are?
Any ideas?

Well, sure, a snail is not a fish, and ich is a protozoa that is only parasitic on fish, so there is no reason a snail would get it. The snail may have been a carrier, though, in that the ich tomont may have settled on the snail or the snail picked it up whilst moving about. Ich needs to have a fish to continue its lifecycle, so if the tank has been fish free for greater than 5 days (at tropical temperatures) ich cannot have survived.

I like to refer to http://www.skepticalaquarist.com/docs/health/ich.shtml for an awful lot of good information about ich, its lifecycle, its treatments, and some of its oft-repeated myths (and of course the truths).

have no idea about the circles, maybe try to post a picture?
