My Apple Snail keeps laying those massive clumps of eggs out of water, but I only have 1 snail, so I was wondering if the eggs are actually going to be fertile and hatch? She doesnt have a partner.

We have taken the eggs out and put them in their own container because when they hatch I dont want them, I will give them to the pet shop, what should I be doing for them???

Thanks

Raz

They can store sperm for a long time apparently.

As for the eggs, float a container in the tank, get them a little wet once a day, and when they hatch feed them. Unless your lfs will take them right after they hatch. Or maybe just give them the clutch.. maybe they'll hatch them themselves.

I'm pretty sure snails are Asexual and can reproduce with or without a partner, also if I'm not mistake snails (or was it slugs) can change gender...

While most snails are hermaphrodites, only some can breed by themselves. Most of the others need two in order to breed and one assumes the male sex while the other assumes the female sex.

Then there are the sexed snail species like Apple & Mystery snails, etc., that need a male and female in order to breed. Generally, the ones that lay their eggs in a clump out of the water will be from the Apple/Mystery snail family.
