Smelly And Cloudy Water

Personally I would do 50% changes and so long as the temperature stays fairly even just keep doing it until your ammonia is way down. the bit of stress caused by the multiple changes will be less damaging than the hugely toxic ammonia levels in there.

Will do bigger than 25%. Do I do it once a day or more often?

Twice a day is alright, just space them out well (morning and evening).

Sounds like the tank is cycling with fish. Ammonia should be zero all the time, if its not do water changes every day until it is. You need to read the sticky on cycling a tank.

The only reason I suggested you check your tapwater is mine has really high ammonia. Many people run into this it seems. Its good to know in a situation such as yours... My water is .50 right out of the tap maybea little more if I look at the chart when I'm feeling bummed:D.... If yours were similar that would make getting below .25 with just water changes close to impossible before cycling has really finished.
