Smaragdina Juvies

So, Wuv, what are you going to do with all those smaragdina fry?

Just curious.
Give em away, offer them to the SMP, and show some in the F classes :) Want some smaragdina...? :hey:

redbetta I think I'd die of a nervous breakdown after the trouble getting your worms to you . You have to come pick up the fish =P

Yeah true, it was pretty bad with Synirrs, I think it was a miracle, but you never know, there could be two miracles :dunno:

I took a pair to show and they got first place.
What what WHAT?? I totally didn't know one of those pairs was yours!!

They're sooo cute with their little faces all looking at your finger, haha
They look like my imbellis juvies.... well, two of them, anyway. I have a runt who refuses to grow past 1" :|

Yeah, they were in the regular classes though,in little half gallon bowls, they weren't showing with the wild caught fish. I was actually pretty proud of them, they handled it better than the plakats

hee hee, runts are cute though. There are a few in the smaragdina tank. They're funny because sometimes you look in and everybody is crammed in the plant, and there the three itty bitties are cruising around out in the open. You'd think they'd hide, but no.

Oh I remember those! I was wondering why they weren't with the other non-splendens ^_^

Yeah, runts are awesome. I love my little imbellis runt, he's the boldest of the three and eats like a pig!

Oh Wuv they are absolutely gorgeous   I can't believe how many there are!! You must feel so proud..I know I would :D

I'm wondering something though...with my smaragdina fry (which are all still quite small) they were born a greyish color but now that they are getting older they are turning a orange-ish color especially the 3-5 older ones. Is that what smaragdina fry look like?

The 3-5 older ones are so cute. They are about 0.5-0.6 inches long now.

awwww, Elisabeth! I'd love to see them. I'm guessing they might be smaragdina from a different area. Time is proving that there are different types all around. Mine are from Thailand, so I'm assuming they're the longer finned smaragdina from streams that I've read about. I have exact location but that doesn't really help too much just yet.
