Small Tank

Five gallons is plenty of space to have a marine aquarium, and have a small fish. But....you have to have some prior experiance setting up a saltwater tank. I would have been lost if I set up my 3 gallon tank before my 20 gallon.

sure there is space, but is it morally acceptable? Theres plenty of space for a baby goldfish in a bowl.

And is it morally acceptable to keep fish in tanks? They have the whole ocean!

The point is that our hobby isn't perfect and whatever we do, we cannot reenact nature.

but we can do our best, it is more morally right to keep fish in bigger tanks than small tanks.

Thats why we should support aquacultured specimens and support research for breeding more fish in mass quantities.

Then why to people create nano tanks?

Not everyone can afford to live in mansions.

nano tanks are considered morally acceptable, thats why lots of people have them and have success with them. Pico tanks dont have long success stories with fish in them some do, most dont

that logic means the opposite since if you can keep a fish healthy, and parameters stable, it is morally acceptable. Few people can keep a fish healthy and parameters stable in a tank that small. Some can if they have a lot of experiance on their belt, but most cant.
