Small spot on head

I just noticed during feeding time that one of my new platies has a small reddish white spot on her head. I suspect its fungus.. what else could it be? how do I treat it? Please help I dont want to lose her.

I have begun to raise the temperature what should I do if it gets worse? She still seems active and happy, and she ate a lot as usual. I'm confused.

Should I use melafix, or should I wait till the situation worsens?
