As weird as this request might sound, does anyone know of any power filters that are less than 4.5" in length, side to side?

The GPH doesn't matter. I was just thinking of getting a small secondary filter. A punchout on the back has left me with just over 4.5" of open space, so that's why I asked.

After some research, I've found a few other filters fitting my size. Does anyone have any reviews of these?

- Hagen Elite Hush 5, 10
- TOM Rapids Power Filter PF-80
- The little Aquavase filter

16 gph isn't much, but you can't expect much more from such a small filter, especially on sale. :)

I used a Azoo Palm Filter/RedSea Nano Filter for a while on a 1 gallon betta container. It does a nice job for quiet water movement but I ultimately found that it was too difficult keeping stable water stats since the container was so small. I also replaced the supplied filters with a sponge cut from an AquaClear and added filter floss.

Since this will be a secondary filter, it might fit the bill. :good:
