Hi there.
I currently have a 70 litre tank and wanted to include some bottom feeders. I know I want a few Sterbai Cories, but I also wanted to get a Pleco. However obviously I have to be wary of the sizing. Not only that when they get larger they kinda scare me!!
Can anyone recommend a very small Pleco that won't cost me an arm and a leg?
Thanks, Amy xx

Pitbull pleco. They are unbelievably cute, especially when in groups.

pitbull pleco or bulldog pleco.

both stay small and are cheap or should be anyway.

How small are they? Ideally I don't want anything bigger than about 2-3 inches? And have you got a pic of them? I can't seem to get a decent one on google!
Thanks, Amy xx

heres the only pic i have of the pitbull plecs i use to own. they are very sociable and are just like extra large otocinclus. they gat to about 2.5-3 inch max so a couple or even a trio of these might suit your needs. they are also known as LDA 25 i believe.

Pitbulls sound like they're perfect for you. They're very cute and interesting to watch flying around your tank. Very active at all times of the day.

I believe these change colour slightly also depending on what colour substrate you have. :) Definately worth a punt i reckon. But also don't overlook the bulldogs, they're lovely too.

Great stuff! I like them, they arent scary! My friend has a. Absolutely HUGE plec, he headbutts you when you clean the tank!! I didn't want one that would grow that big as they are scary.
I'm going to check out a new Aquatics place next week so
I'll see if they have any of these guys. Would it be ok to just have one, or would it get lonely?

Also Minnt, I've just googled the Bulldog ones and they look nice too, spotty ones. Do both of these species of Pleco have that frilled dorsal fin? You know when it sticks up and looks all dinosaurish!! I love that.
And are they both quite easy to come across in shops?
Sorry for the double post and any spelling mistakes, iPhones predictive text is quite annoying at times!!

another slight note is that Bulldogs prefer a slightly lower temp then most tropicals
