Small plec recommendations?

Could someone recommend some small types of plec (max. 4-6") that are quite easy to locate on the high street?

I used to have a common plec that sadly outgrew it's home and I'd love to replace it with a small variety.

There are some recommendations elsewhere on searching this forum but I'm not sure it will be easy to locate some of the more wierd and wonderful!

keep an eye out - the more ecpensive plecs are normally ther smaller ones

I bought a BN Plec two weeks ago and it cost £3.95. Very nice fish to watch, not hiding all the time and is busy eating the algae. Forgot to say they only grow to about 4 - 4 1/2 inches.

Bristlenoses seem to be the most talked about plecs but I've seen Zebra plecs and all kinds of expensive spotted plecs for sale locally, but never any bristlenoses...

There are many more exotic plecs that you could go for that stay under 5-6", too many to list really.

I've been thrilled with my rubber lip pleco. He has stayed small, and loves the drift wood in the tank.

rubernose plecs ?(a.k.a. bulldog plecs) are nice small plecs, they are also good algae eaters aswell.

How about a clown pleco? They stay small (5") but they like to hide and don't eat algae.

How about a zebra plec. They are pretty and stay small. And while your at it, you can get me one as a birthday present. Common as muck, but I can't get them around here for some reason.

yeah... not only are they very expensive and now quite a specilist fish... they are also not a solitary fish and need to be kept in groups 4/5+ and have very particular dietary requirements. oh and wont touch algae.

Bristle noses and /or rubbernose will be perfect.
