Small Nano Tank

Hey everyone....Again.

ive jsut been doing my sums and it looks liek the nano will be on its way, ive put £500 on 1 side that will be used bit by bit for the stuff i need, ive found the tank for £195 and i can get a 25kg bucket of salt for around £50 and then ill get my test kit aswell and the live rock and then leave it till i can add fish etc.

So are you going for the 550 then :good:

If so you can definately have the pair of clowns you want and gobies. You could get a shrimp/goby pair, but I'd advise you read BigC's thread and his experence of this, it wasn't good

suggestions are hard as its more about what you like but there are a few fish worth mentioning that you could have with Clowns

Hawk fish are lovely (but the may eat shrimps  )
purple firefish
There are lots of the smaller gobies which would be fine and blennies
Depending on size you could stock with around 5 small/medium size fish :good:

I would avoid damsel fish though they can be very aggressive.

fire shrimps or skunk cleaner shrimps you could a couple of either.

15kg of LR would be ok. I think thats about how much I've got in mine.

the 550 would be better in the long run, then eventually ill probably upgrade to a 4 x 2 x 2 or maybe bigger in a couple of years.

looking on the net ive kinda fell in love with a few species of clowns, im now down to either common orange/white or the black/white clowns, i just love the common clowns, i think the colours and definity in the pattern of the black/white is out of thsi world.

ive decided that im gonna go with 15kg, then maybe add to it after its been put in so i can see what it looks like.

what soft corals would i be looking at?

thanks for the help everyone. when i get the tank ill start a diary =]

Xenia - polyps - toadstool - mushroom - zoa's - ricordea's and after a few months you could add Euphyllia like torch, hammer or frogspawn coral
