probably not the tomato cloans you posted about in the other thread, too big.

BTW beadlet anenomes are usually found in cold water not tropical reefs

yeah the clowns il keep in my 3ft tank if i get them. and yup i know beadlets are from uk and ireland but the guy selling them keeps em in tropical water

ive heard of them doing alright in warmer water. But i dont think anything would host in them. Apparently they split all the time though. So you may end up with a few more than you bargain for ;)

yeah i think there to small to be hosted but they look really nice. im going to buy 5 so i hope they dont split lol 5 is plenty enough for me man

howcome they havent so far...or so im told? theres 2 guys on ebay selling them who keep them in tropical water and they dont mention splitting or anything... maybe thats why there so small cus they split already? are there any disadvantages of them being split? i dont wanna get em if its gonna cause em pain to split or something

doubt it would cause them pain but you may find you end up with the tank being overtaken by them!

yeah good point lol, you would figure he would sell them split though to maximise his profit. i dont mind looooads of them so i guess its ok if they split seeing as it dont cause em pain or nothing. if i get to many i can always swap em for frags or something. i realllllllllly like them so i wouldnt mind a tank full of them and 2-3 fish

It is very unlikely people will will want to swop them for frags.

Please try and consider the type of biotope you want - beadlet Nems are from colder water around the UK etc and should be kept in that sort of biotope. Beadlets that keep splitting are stressed and just because someone says they keep them in tropical doesn't mean it is right  Please remember that they are anemonies, some think they may be immortal unless predated upon or handled inappropriatly.

If you really want beadlets, consider a biotope that represents the colder waters around the UK - track down a copy of ultra marine issue 16 - there is a great article in there about such biotopes by Mike Lemmon, you might even be able to find something about his system on-line.

Rant over...........

i thought they could be kept in both trop and cold water? well obv they can because alot of people do keep em in tropwater for long periods of time without splitting. as far i read up on them i was made to beleive they attatch to the LR, empty shells etc etc.. everywhere i read said they attatch themself, didnt read anywhere that said they split when stressed... i aint saying its not true but if the guys selling them and buying them manage to keep em in trop water without splitting/stressing them then im sure its fine. most fish/inverts are hardy as hell..i have kept a few species of trop water fish in cold water for many years and cold water fish in trop water.. both worked well for me, never lost any or had any disease, colour loss etc etc... even had some breed so thats a sure sign they are 100% happy. il get some beadlet anemones..if they split or show signs of being stressed il drop the temp. i have no fish in there yet so lowering the temp wont be a problem. the only prob would be what fish can i keep in lower temps. i know damsels can handle lower temps but i dont really like them

just been reading a bit more and some people keep em in water upto 28c but he did say it spent alot of time curled up. my tank is 26-27c. alot of people seem to have sucsess keeping em around 20-23c. can i keep any salt water fish and inverts at 20c though?
