love your rope fish!!! how big do they get? i was told 2 feet by my lfs i have a small one in my 55 gallon.

i love the arowana too but silvers i know get HUGE!!!

i have a pantodon bucholzi, guess it is the closest i will get to an aro.. how big do they get?

reed fish (rope fish) get upto 36" in the wild but in an aquarium around 12" apparently i thught they got to around 24" too http/www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/ropefish.htm

18-24 inches in home aquaria but it takes several years 18''is fairly common 24''would be very large

mine is around 10" i cant measure him propely he wont stay still lol
