I bought this silicone grease off ebay to get the primer on the filter priming again. I used vaseline last time and its left a horrible coating on the water surface. So dont want to do that again & didn't want to pay ehaim prices for a tiny packet so i bought some of this.

The grease is called Aqau-sil O ring grease. It says in the info "UK Water Byelaws approved silicone grease for long term lubrication of bearings, slides & valves operating in potable water environments."

Advice appreciated
Thanks

Can you not just remove the silicone rubber diaphragm and soak it in hot water to soften it and then mould it back into shape?

I dont think anythings lost its shape, it just needs some lubrication.
