Skinny Platy

Now that I got another platy, my other platy looks really skinny like right before his stomach starts. Do you think it's because he is not getting enough food now or because he is probably a male and the other is a female and females are rounder so my male looks skinny??

probably because he is a male....is he eating ok??

yeah, he doesn't get as much food as the other fish do though because he shy. it takes him awile to come out and get the food. how can i get it to him?? i've tried putting sinking food above him and putting flake food above him . he just stays at the bottom though
