Skimmers And Stock Level

Hi guys just a quick question for the expert reefers out there if I was to put a deltec MCE 300 skimmer on my 20 gallon tank (over kill i know) in theory i would be able to have another 1 or 2 small fish in the tank (namely a goby of some sort and possibly another fish). does this work in practise or is it one of these only on paper theorys thanks James

Sigh. Your tank is overstocked as it is...and protein skimmers do NOT increase the amount of fish you can keep. SH

James...I suffer the same problem as all everyone here. I have to keep my hands off my wallet when I go to the marine lfs. Everything is so beautiful. But...will have to wait until I establish a large tank someday. Our nano's are just inherently unstable and you have to use kid gloves. SH

learnt the enevitable most things the lfs says are just to get a sale lesson now though its a shame as these are truly nice fish. maybe one day if i could set up a second bigger tank I would have some more. Thanks for the advide steelhealr it is much appreciated. James
