Some of you may have noticed that I'm rarely on the forums lately and having trouble reading all the posts. Long story short, I haven't had internet access at home for the past going on 2 weeks now. If you work for Time Warner Cable (my ISP), just keep that to yourself cause I'm at my wits end and likely to hunt you down and hurt you. I'm still waiting on the "engineers" to come and "fix" our problem (since the poor van guy isn't allowed to climb the power pole to fix it) and pretty much getting wrung through the giant corporate nightmare of customer service. These afformentioned "engineers" dont even take flipping phone calls so I can find out when/if they plan to show up. I've been told weeks, days, hours, months by numerous employees at the customer service office. Compound this problem with the fact that we dont have a phone line ran to our house (no DSL or modem) and the satellite line of site is blocked by 50 ft tall trees lining the southwest angle and I have no way of getting internet at home.
Add to that the fact that the thanksgiving holiday and soon the christmas holidays are upon us and my ability to get service back looks bleak. Furthermore, I won't be working (the only place I have net access) and something tells me these mysterious "engineers" won't be working all this coming thanksgiving week. As much as I loathe them as the scum of the earth, bottom of the food chain, and complete wasteful drain on our society, I'm considering employing a lawyer at this point since I'm out of all other options.
Sorry about the rant, but I had to get that off my chest. To finish the story, don't be surprised if you see very little of me in the near future. Regardless of how much I enjoy interacting with all of you, its going to be difficult and limited. If you really feel you need my help, your best bet is to pm me or email my screen name @gmail.com
