I can put a sisemase fighter in with silver mollies and tiger barbs right?? :alien:

no the tiger barbs will eat your betta fins off they are bad fin nippers the mollies are ok I am sure anyone here will tell you this.

fish keeper is right...try to stay away from the fin nippers..they will just torment the betta until he's torn up, stressed and then :X

Where did you buy your betta & what size tank is he in?

fksm is right on that one. tiger barbs will more than likely tear your bettas fins up unless you have a whole lot of em like 15 or more.

they say you have to feed them real good and keep 15 or more then I bet they would still eat the betta up, I have done a lot of reading and I know all about bettas and sharks and some about mollies that is all I keep they are my favorite fish. So I can answer about all questions on these types of fish I bet I spend a good 10 hours a day reading about the types of fish that I own.

that's why i hate tiger barbs, they r too agressive, but i am also planning on geting a betta but will my red tail black shark nip the betta's fin?

kevin

how big is your redtail they dont hardly nip fins they like to chase things and bully the other tank mates mine does fine with my betta I dont have any problems. It mostly depends on the size of your shark.

my red tail black shark is about 1.5 inch....
i'v had it for about a month but i don't see any nips or any damage on his tankmates..

Kevin

No, the red-tail will not nip fins. Mine loves everybody in the tank. He just loves to swim around!

I'd suggest that the red tail WILL nip fins when he gets larger.

They start out rather peaceful when small, but as they approach six inches, they can become very aggressive. The betta most likely won't be fast enough to avoid fin nipping.

The betta should be able to stand his own against EITHER the tigers or sharks, but I wouldn't put him through it.

We have noticed the aggressive behavior coming out in our rainbow sharks. They are now tormenting our Tiger barbs! I assume that the temperament of the rainbow is similar to the red tail...
