Sinking Driftwood

Hi all. Hope you're all well!

I got some new driftwood yesterday, and I boiled it last night for a couple hours.

I glued some java fern and Anubias to it this afternoon, and now the driftwood won't sink. I had it sitting out all night, so I'm not sure if that was what caused it to still continue to float.

Anything I can do to get it to sink WITH plants on it?

Get a large rock and sit it on the top of your wood that will keep it down.

It could take weeks before your piece of wood is waterlogged enough to stay submerged.

Lift the rock off an inch once every few days and if it starts to float put it back on the wood. When it stays on the bottom, you can remove the rock.

I’d try glueing on those small flat inexpensive black pebbles

It could take a couple of hours, or a few weeks to sink - every piece of driftwood is different!
