Single Cory

I bought a single Cory for my smallish tank, will this be OK with other community fish and/or should I look to have more than 1?

I think corys prefer to shoal (i may be wrong)..

Your cory should be in groups. I have 5 juli corys and they do fine.
If you have just one or two they will hide away and become nocturnal.
So I would buy some buddies for him

yep, definitely get some more if you can, they will be much happier in a group of 5+

I only have 1 cory Now I feel bad cos I can't afford to buy him any friends...will he be ok hanging out with the unknown number of BNs in my tank?!

Each of the above posts is correct HOWEVER be careful not to have too many fish in the tank.

I'd rather see 1 healthy cory in a un-crowded tank than 5 so-so healthy corys in an over crowded tank.

You didn't post your tank size and filtration or fish community count.
