Silver Shark

Nope can't say I have either. Always research 1st to save trouble later on :)

Which is of course ideally what everyone should do.

I was reassuring the op that they are not the only one to have made mistakes, there are plenty of people that have. The fact errors may have been made should not be the focus here, rather we should concentrate on what to do to rectify the situation, and provide help and reassurance to the op in a supportive and constructive manner :)

Fish may be stunted but I'm yet to see any evidence of this, happy for anyone to prove otherwise though :)

Granted these aren't silver sharks but there is a great thread here showing the different between goldfish kept in a small tank/bowl and an appropriately-sized tank.

The link doesn't work for me. Could you try again please?

Btw my comment referred to the statement about organ growth in stunted fish. I'm well aware that the stunting of fish occurs for various reasons.

Link in the quoted section should work now. Obviously I misunderstood what you originally said but it's still a really interesting thread for people to see re: the differences tank size and living conditions can make.

I've added to my comment now to avoid confusion!

Link now working for me, thanks

i had one angel fish in a 25L tank moved to a 80L tank where i put 3 more in with him, the original one now has a bent top fin where as the others don't, DW there all happy in a 330L tank now i also killed around 5 loaches by putting them into a small tank newbie start, but i know it is hard to say gd buy to fish or even understand why but it is recommended to give those fish away or even better try and afford a tank for them in the near future not only will they most likely be stunted growth as said above i won't cover that but what happened with my loaches is they get ich and this was because they where in close proximity of each other, i know this is not going to help as i know what you are going through you want to keep your fish :) i would recommend if yo ucan afford it or even save up for it and get a bigger tank it will be well worth it :)
