Silver Arowana attacking everything

All of a sudden my Silver Arowana seems to want to attack, eat or kill everything in its tank.

Its approx 16" and shares its home with learius pictus, lungfish, leaf fish, lima shovelnoses and a few other little fish.

Hes been fine with them in the 8 x 2 x 2 tank for must be a good 6 months or more but now hes suddenly eaten my gar fish, a couple of leaf fish and hes constantly nipping at the L.Pictus.

Why has he suddenly changed his behaviour and also will the L.Pictus's sailfin heal again as its all shredded?

well its in their nature because they are predatory so if you I wouldn't put them in the same tank I would put an oscar smaller then the aro of course

yes predactory not agresive, there's a difference.

I think it's pretty strange your silver has started doing this, my asian is still pretty calm only taking a disliking to a apollo shark.

I think CFC only has an oscar in his tank to divert the agresion from his jardini. Maybe you could try adding a large brute like an oscar??

Thats strange, i have no clue why it just started to do that. By the way, im surprised your lungfish hasnt eatin all of your fish! Arent they super mean and preditory?

Depends if the lungfish is African or South American and even then remember each is an individual some more mellow and some not-Anne
South American are generaly more tolerant
