Silicone?

I am going to add a shelf in my tank. Does anyone know the special silicone for use in aquariums?

just use aquarium sealant, you should be able to buy it at your local fish shop

Unfourtantly, in alaska, there are no such specialty shops......I guess i am looking for some type of silicone I can find in a hard ware store........any ideas?

If u goto the hardware store, just make sure it is 100% silicone

Try your local glass merchant, cheaper than your lfs no doubt. Make sure it states sutiable for aquarium use.

Just make sure its 100% silcone and make sure it has had the time to fully cure before adding water.
