Is there anyway to dissolve Silicone sealent?

We need to remove a lip to get a 3D background in but the lip is sealed in using...silicon.

Thanks for any and all help :good:

I would have thought this would work but be sure to wash the area thoroughly after use :)

Use a stanley blade or razor blade is the common way. I use a window scraper, it has a long very sharp blade fixed in T shaped handle. Works a treat

As far as i'm aware, I don't think A Stanley knife could access it.

Thanks for the link elisew.

Stanley blade, not knife.

You need to take the blade out of the knife & "shave" the silicone off.

Yeh failing that you could take a pencil sharper apart and use the blade from that. However it all depends on if you have the space to slip your hand in and the agility to "slice" or "shave" it off.
